Benjamin Niles Recovering

Neighbors and Friends,

On August 31st, 6th grader Benjamin Niles crashed on a large motocross jump sustaining Traumatic Brain Injury. After spending time in the ICU and a rehab hospital he is being discharged home this weekend.

He will continue PT therapy as he regains motor movement in his right foot. His cognitive functions continue to improve on a daily basis.

If you'd like to help out the Niles family with a dinner, card or wishful thought Lisa's number is 691-7216.

There is also a savings count that has been established for Benjamin's medical expenses at Heritage Bank on Damonte Ranch Parkway, 47 Damonte Ranch Parkway, Reno, NV 89511 852-2755. That account number is 5100003135.

"Like" the Living with Fire Facebook page

Good afternoon,

The Living With Fire program now has a Facebook page. We started this social media endeavor as part of the Washoe County Fire Adapted Communities project. It’s yet another way to reach homeowners and our partners with important wildfire and wildfire preparedness information. While the focus is on Washoe County, we’ll be posting information relevant to the whole state. This site will feature a wealth of up-to-date news and original content with the goal of educating Nevadans about wildfire issues affecting our state and how creating Fire Adapted Communities is one key solution. If you have a Facebook account, please “like” our new page. Also, if you know anyone that might find this topic interesting, please encourage them to “like” our page as well.

Additionally, in an effort to keep this site full of engaging content, please let us know of any topics or news we should be covering. Contact me by email or through the Facebook page and we’ll address topics as soon as possible. Thank you.
